IS there anything else happening in the world aside from the Olympics?
I thought not.
This is just a small smattering of the Olympic stories I've enjoyed this week. I'm still too giddy about Michael Phelps to spoil it with journalism, so no stories on him.
I cried all over the place at the story of the Nigerian rower. Athlete, crowd, announcer - all showing true Olympic spirit. WAHHHH!
I cheered and whooped all over the house when I saw the British rowers had won gold. Now Penzance can be known for more than just its Pirates!
I howled with laughter over Conan Doyle's prose regarding this marathoner (back in 1908). Florid, much? Holmes would disapprove - even Dr Watson would blush.
The badminton scandal is dreadful. NOT the Olympic spirit. But a small part of me is relieved that figure skating isn't the ONLY Olympic sport riddled with scandal. Now if we could just convince the badminton players to wear sequins ...
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are adorable. Is that respectful? It doesn't seem respectful to refer to the future king of England as adorable. But really, they ARE (as is Harry).
Everyone has heard about or seen the US swim team's version of Call Me Maybe. That was charming, sure. This, however, has got even those athletes beat. Look out, Sochi!

I haven't been watching the Olympics becasue I don't have TV and they won't let me watch online :( It's too bad too becasue I really love the watching them for the most part. At least I know people like you who keep me updated on the important stuff :)

Yes, Kate Middleton and her husband are so adorable together. I've seen their pictures in many gossip magazines and Kate always looks gorgeous.
